Data Deletion · Tim8

Last updated: 31 October 2026 Version: 2.1

This page explains how to delete personal information from Tim8, what is deleted, how long it takes, and what is retained as required by law.

Who this page is for

Real estate agents with a Tim8 account: see section 1.

Clients of an agent, and anyone who signed a document an agent sent: see section 2.

1. Deleting an agent account

How to request it

Deletion is carried out from within the system, in one of three places:

  • In the account settings, under "Delete account".
  • On the billing page, also when the account is frozen.
  • In the conversation with Tim8 on the website: when asked to delete the account, Tim8 shows a button that opens the same window.

The window sets out what is deleted and what is kept. To confirm, tick that it was read and understood, and enter a one-time code sent to the email address registered to the account.

No access to the account? Write to support@mytim8.com from the email address registered to the account, and we will help restore access so the request can be completed. To protect the information, we may ask for additional verification details.

What happens after confirmation

  1. Access to the system closes immediately, and the subscription ends with no further charges. There is no refund for a period already paid.
  2. All signed documents are sent by email to the address registered to the account, so that they stay with you.
  3. A confirmation email with a link to cancel the request is sent. Until the deletion, the request can be canceled by clicking the link.
  4. The deletion takes place 7 days after the request, and not before a full week has passed since the signed documents were sent successfully. If the documents were not sent or did not arrive, the deletion is put on hold and will not take place until they arrive.
  5. Documents signed or filled in during the waiting period are sent in a separate email, and the deletion takes place only after they were sent.
  6. A final email is sent at the end, confirming that the account was deleted.

The deletion cannot be undone.

What is deleted

  • The account and profile details, including the image of the real estate licence.
  • The client and property records.
  • Matches, tasks and reminders.
  • The history of conversations with Tim8, including transcripts of voice messages.
  • Files, images and signed documents stored in the system.
  • The public showcase page and the short links.
  • The credit card token and the card details stored with us.
  • The refer a friend balance. It is erased upon confirmation of the deletion, and does not return even if the request is canceled.
  • The Google Calendar permission is revoked at Google as part of the deletion. The revocation can also be checked in the security settings of the Google account.

What is kept, and why

Invoices and billing documents are kept for 7 years, as the law requires, including the name and email address that appear on them. Records of charges and refunds are also kept, with no link to the account.

A record of the deletion request: the request and deletion dates and its status only, with no identifying details.

Documents already sent by email are in the mailboxes of the parties, and we cannot delete them from there.

Backups

The information is also kept in backups, for recovery in case of a failure only. Deleted information, including a deleted account, is removed from the daily database backup and from the file backup within 30 days, and from the monthly database backup within 12 months.

What others hold

The payment processor (Tranzila). Tranzila does not allow deleting the card token on its side. When the account is deleted, our copy is deleted, so the card can no longer be charged through us. Invoices issued by Tranzila are kept there as required by law.

Posts already published on Facebook. They were published from the agent's Facebook account and are under the agent's control. They are deleted on Facebook.

The browser extension. It should be removed from the browser.

2. Clients of an agent, and anyone who signed a document

The information about an agent's clients is not ours, it is the agent's.

An agent who uses Tim8 enters the details of their clients into the system, and we hold them on the agent's behalf only. The agent controls this information, and may correct or delete it from within the system. When the agent deletes the account, this information is deleted too, as set out in section 1.

What to do

Contact the agent and ask them to delete the information.

When the agent is unknown or unavailable, contact us at support@mytim8.com. We will locate the agent, pass the request on, and follow up.

A signed document is sent by email to the signatory immediately upon signing, so a copy is in their possession. The document is evidence of the engagement between the signatory and the agent, and its deletion is subject to the rights of both parties and to the provisions of law.

3. Partial deletion

There is no need to delete everything. You can contact us to correct or delete a specific item, rather than the whole account.

4. Handling times

Deletion of an agent account takes place 7 days after the request, as set out in section 1. Other requests are answered promptly and no later than the deadlines set by law.
